General Information on Submissions
The TeaP is a conference for experimental psychologists. As such, we invite submissions of experimental research from all areas of psychology (e.g., cognitive, social, developmental, clinical, biological, emotional/motivational psychology), as well as submissions of relevant methodological developments. Please note that submissions that do not fit the scope of the conference may not be accepted. All contributions should be in English, as the official conference language is English.
Each author may submit only one abstract as a presenter (either as contributor to a symposium, or for an original research talk, a poster, or pre-data poster), but may be a co-author (non-presenter) on multiple submissions.
All presenters must register and pay the registration fee.
If you have any questions about the submission process, please contact teap2025@psych.uni-frankfurt.de.
Submission Types
Symposium
A symposium lasts 90 minutes and consists of 4-5 thematically related talks (15 minutes: 12 min presentation + 3 min discussion) by different authors, plus an overall introduction and/or a general discussion lead by the symposium organizers. The general discussion should involve the audience, but can also involve debate between speakers of the symposium. It is also possible to submit a double symposium consisting of 8 to 10 talks spread over two sessions. One of the talks may be a discussion that combines and expands on the other talks. The author submitting the symposium will be the symposium chair and will be responsible for the internal organization.
We encourage symposium organizers to consider diversity on many dimensions, including diversity of perspectives, demographics, and career stages.
To submit a symposium, a title and summary of the symposium as well as titles, (at least) first authors, and abstracts of the individual talks are required. The symposium summary should clearly present the overall topic and thematic relationship between the individual talks. Symposium summary and abstracts of the individual talks should not exceed 250 words each (incl. references). For double symposia, please submit two separate outlines (entitled Part I and Part II) so that it will be possible for attendees to differentiate between the two. Both parts should be accompanied by summaries of max. 250 words each. Note, however, that you can cross-reference between parts. For instance, you could mention in the first summary, e.g. "further applications will be presented in part II...". Or say in the second "In this part II of the symposium we follow-up on ... " That way you provide some structure while at the same time stress that the two parts belong together.
Note that after receiving notification of symposium acceptance, each of the individual talks (title, full list of authors, abstract) must be formally uploaded via our conference system (see Original Research Talks below). When uploading the individual talk, please make sure that it is assigned to the correct symposium. Simply select the symposium title from the drop-down menu. Abstracts should be uploaded as originally submitted for the symposium.
To submit a symposium, please send a single PDF file (or two PDF files for double symposia) with the symposium title and summary and info about the individual talks to teap2025@psych.uni-frankfurt.de. Header of your email should be “TeaP 2025 Symposium submission”. Deadline is October 20, 2024.
Original Research Talk
In original research talks, authors present their experimental research and/or methodological advances. Talks will last 15 minutes (12 min presentation + 3 min discussion). To submit a talk, a title, a full list of authors, and an abstract summarizing research question, methodology, results and implications of the research (max. 250 words, incl. references) are required. If your talk is part of a symposium, please indicate this by selecting the appropriate symposium title from the drop-down menu. Talks that are not associated with a specific symposium will be grouped by the TeaP organizing committee based on thematic similarity. For this purpose, you will be asked to provide three to seven keywords when submitting a talk. The number of talks is limited. If the number of submissions exceeds the total capacity, talk submissions may be converted to posters.

Poster
On posters, authors present their empirical research or methodological work (DIN A0 format, portrait mode, i.e., 1189 mm x 841 mm). Each poster will be displayed in one of several poster sessions scheduled in the program. Authors are asked to remain with their poster for discussion during the entire poster session. To submit a poster, a title, a full list of authors, and an abstract summarizing the research question, methodology, and the results (max. 250 words, incl. references) are required. You will be asked to provide three to seven keywords when submitting a poster.

Pre-Data Poster
The aim of the pre-data poster format is to allow researchers to present and discuss experimental research ideas in the early stages of a planned research project, i.e., to gain feedback and advice on the proposed research project before any data have been collected. To submit a pre-data poster, a title, a full list of authors, and an abstract summarizing the content (max. 250 words, incl. references) are required. You will be asked to provide three to seven keywords when submitting a pre-data poster. Although this format is open to everyone, we especially encourage submissions from first-year PhD students to get early feedback on their planned research project.
