30 Minutes with John McFall
We are delighted to welcome ESA astronaut John McFall to Lecture Theatre 1 on Thursday 28 May at 16.15.
At the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing, John McFall won bronze in the 100m sprint.
In 2022, he became the first person with a disability to be accepted into the European Astronaut Corps.
ESA’s ‘Fly!’ feasibility study with astronaut John McFall demonstrated that people with physical disabilities can be successfully trained for long-duration missions to the International Space Station (ISS) and can fly into space.
In the “30 Minutes with John” format, Prof. Schneider will be in conversation with John. They will discuss medals, the joy of weightlessness, and the beautiful and difficult moments in life.
