Speed Mentoring for Early Career Researchers by the Cognitive Psychology Section of the DGPs

When? Sunday, March 15, from 7 to 8 p.m.
Where? Museumsgesellschaft, Wilhelmstraße 3, 72074 Tübingen
The exact room will be announced at a later time.

Early Career Researchers (ECR) have the opportunity to participate in a speed mentoring session with established mentors in the field of Cognitive Psychology. ECRs will have the opportunity to discuss two career-related issues with mentors in short 10-minute sessions. There will then be time for open discussion and feedback on the mentoring program. ECRs interested in a mentoring relationship are welcome, as well as ECRs already in the mentoring program. The aim of the meeting is to strengthen and expand the network of ECRs, to disseminate information about the program, and to exchange ideas between mentees and mentors on how to improve the program. ECRs who are interested in Speed Mentoring can register to participate via the following link (https://nx21400.your-storageshare.de/apps/forms/s/za7Qn8QiZC4ZDLK5tjK9bEiA). The deadline for registration is the 1st of March. All other ECRs, mentees, and mentors are welcome for an open and informal exchange!

Career Paths Beyond University (mainly in German)

When? Tuesday, March 17, from 1 to 2 p.m.
Where? Hörsaalzentrum Morgenstelle
The exact room will be announced at a later time.

Pursuing a Ph.D. or post-doc in cognitive psychology, we observe many different possibilities for staying in academia. However, it often seems less obvious where cognitive psychologists are needed and employed beyond academia. For this lunch session, we invited cognitive psychologists who left academia and now work in very different fields. They will give you insights about their motivation to leave academia, about what they are doing now, and, most importantly, give you the opportunity to ask questions about their career paths. Please note that the main language will be German, but spontaneous language switches are possible. No registration is required.

Poster Award Ceremony

When? Wednesday, March 18, from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m.
Where? Hörsaalzentrum Morgenstelle

Poster Awards will be given to the three winners elected by the DGPs committee right before the keynote on Wednesday after the lunch break. If you would like to nominate your poster, please find more information at "Information for Presenters and Chairs" where detailed information about poster presentations is provided.
